Born into a musical family in Athens, Georgia, Keio Stroud began performing at an early age. After studying at the University of West Georgia, he moved to Nashville in 2000, quickly establishing himself as an in-demand session and touring drummer. Throughout his career, Stroud has worked with an impressive roster of acclaimed artists, including Keith Urban, LeAnn Rimes, Jason Aldean, Ronnie Dunn, Keb’ Mo’, Taj Mahal, Edwin McCain, Little Big Town, Big & Rich, and many more. His recording credits include Grammy-winning projects such as Oklahoma and TajMo by Keb’ Mo’ and Taj Mahal, along with Good to Be, Sunday Night Shout!, and the I Saw the Light soundtrack. His performance credits also include Late Night with Seth Meyers, ESPN College GameDay (2016–2022), television sitcoms, and major recording sessions. A respected clinician and educator, Stroud appeared at PASIC 2019 and returned in 2022 as a panel guest alongside Peter Erskine and Gregg Bissonette. With decades of experience spanning recording studios, national tours, television, and live performance, Keio Stroud continues to be a sought-after drummer in Nashville and beyond.
